Hundreds protested at the Dail today against the government after it's return from its summerbreak.
The day got off to an eventful start with a cement truck strategically driving into the front gates of the Dail leaving only scratch marks on the paint. Unlike previous protests at Anglo irish banks, there were no barricades with a much thinner blue line. read full story / add a comment

Thousands marched to defend health services at Letterkenny hospital from going under the knife. Anger and hurt was clearly evident on the streets of Letterkenny as pensioners and workers most vulnerable to any cuts in health services brought traffic to halt.

Just uploaded- video from Irish Anti-War Movement protest on June 3rd which marched to the Israeli Embassy. People voted to stay overnight and succesfully stopped the Israeli Embassy from functioning the next day.

There is a live satellite link with Denis Halliday on the Rachel Corrie which was 200 miles away from Gaza at the time. read full story / add a comment

Following on from the magnificent Clonmel protest against any attacks on acute services, the west of Ireland showed the depth of anger was not limited to the Tipperary region.
